  • Yellow Church Yoga & Natural Health Centre 9 Myocum Road Mullumbimby, NSW, 2482 Australia (map)

Beloved woman,

Welcome to SACRED REST: Deeply nourishing and Restorative Practices for women.

Is it beyond time for you to REST?

In a Sacred Rest session you will enjoy 3 delicious hours of dedicated space devoted to your unravelling and restoration.

It is my deepest desire that during these sessions you will begin to:

* Reset your nervous system
Receive unconditional support
Remember the truth of who you are
Reawaken your feminine energy centres
Reconnect with your beautiful body temple
* Reclaim the knowing and wisdom of your Womb + Heart
Release old stories, stress, tension and stagnant energy
Relax and restore your whole being
* Replenish your adrenals
Return home to yourself

Sessions are lovingly crafted and draw on the Wisdom of the Cycles so that we are practicing in a way that honours not only our own internal rhythms, but also the seasons of the Sun, Moon, Stars and Mother Earth.

What does a SACRED REST session look like?
Each session is unique, but will flow as the feminine does a little like this:

BEGINNING:
* Cleansing and creation of Sacred Space + honouring of custodians
* Initial Grounding meditation to allow you to arrive into your Body Temple

BODY:
* Gentle Restorative Yoga
* Intuitive Feminine Movement + Embodiment
* Taoist + Tantric energy practices
* Womb + Heart activation/ connection

CLOSING:
* Final restoration practises including Yoga Nidra + Visualisation
* Closing of Sacred Space

Medicine bag tools that can be included in a SACRED REST session include:

* Inner enquiry
* Feminine Embodiment practices
* Gentle + Intuitive floor based Feminine Yoga
* Deeply Nourishing + Restorative Yoga practices
* Breath + Sound Exploration
* Womb and Heart connection and awakening
* Feminine Mudras + Yoga Nidra
* Taoist Energy Practices
* Visualisation + Ritual

The session is made complete by cultivating presence and drawing on the wisdom of mindfulness, a practice that invites you to stay fully present to all that arises throughout the session.

What is Restorative Yoga?

It is a gentle and nourishing practice that works deeply and intimately with the Nervous System.

This supportive practice enables you to switch off the overused ‘fight/flight’ stress response and activate the ‘relaxation response’, allowing the whole system to slow down and rest into stillness and simply being.

During a restorative yoga practice the body is placed into lush, supported positions using a variety of different props. As the body yields to the support all effort dissolves and the nervous system is calmed, physical tension and stress melt away; and the mind becomes still and quiet.

Prolonged time in the poses promotes a state of deep relaxation and allows for healing and self-nurturing to occur.

As a remedy for stress and anxiety, this practice is medicine for modern life, and truly is an antidote for the seemingly endless busyness and challenges faced by day to day living.

It is a sanctuary that will leave you feeling not only nourished and at peace, but also grounded and connected to your true self.

Sessions are very gentle and appropriate for all women (no experience of yoga is necessary)

About STAR:

I’ve been exploring Rest in my own practice since 2007, and have been teaching Restorative practices and training others in Restorative Yoga since 2015.

My passion for creating spaces for Women to deeply Rest arose from my own experience with fibromyalgia, burn out, adrenal fatigue and Postnatal depression depletion.

My medicine bag has grown since I last taught my signature ‘Yoga for Feminine Nourishment’ classes locally (Byron Shire) back in 2019, and it’s an honour to bring these beautiful practices to you with my own unique flavour and a whole lot of LOVE!
