I bet you think you don’t have the time for Self Care.
Maybe you feel it is a little too indulgent and you are much better off utilising your time in more productive endeavours?
Sweetheart, you don’t have time not to look after your beautiful self.
Seriously, now is the time to take the leap and start nurturing yourself every day.
Why?
Because even though you might feel like it now, you are not invincible.
Your body is a miracle, but it does have a giving point if pushed to far.
Emotions ignored and left for later brew and grow, slowly manifesting into something bigger and more sinister.
And your mind – well it is resilient but left unchecked it can take over the whole show and leave you exhausted by the plethora of stories that want to pull you in a hundred different directions at once.
Self Care isn’t black and white; it is a holistic approach to wellbeing that encompasses your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.

I wasn’t always into Self Care.
It’s been a journey getting to this place – and truthfully - it hasn’t been easy.
I didn’t always put my needs first; in fact I spent many years doing the opposite.
I was so caught up in pushing myself that I ignored all the warning signs scattered along my path and eventually had a breakdown.
I was the queen of self-sacrifice.
Now I am the goddess of Self Care!
All my suffering has bought me to this pivotal moment and I am now on a passionate mission to fuel a love-filled change to a long-standing and tired paradigm…
I want to:
+ Empower you to let the martyr mask go and fall in love with your whole self just as you are right now without changing anything.
+ Help you put your needs first for a change and give back in ways that leave you felling held and full.
+ Inspire you to know that you deserve it!
So how can you start to create daily rituals to tend to yourself when you feel like your life is on constant overdrive?
If you have struggled to make time for yourself, or just feel too overwhelmed by the busyness, here are my 5 top tips to help you effortlessly bring more connection and care into your day.
1) Tune in first
Taking time to press the pause button and tune in to your intuition is a crucial starting point for bringing Self Care into your day.
Knowing exactly where you are at in the moment means you can then choose an activity that is aligned with your deepest needs.
Every day is different and your daily rituals should reflect the ebbs and flows of life.
2) Your needs are allowed to come first - in fact they should!
This can be a hard one for many women as it often means a big shift in their view around deservability and worthiness.
Honey you are the most important person in your Universe, and when you look after you then you have the resources to nurture and give back to those around you.
Change the mindset sister – You are worthy!
3) Make it a date.
I bet you have no problem booking an appointment to service your car or get your taxes sorted – they aren’t necessarily fun activities but you know they are important so you get on with it.
Love yourself enough to schedule time for you in your diary.
Then all you have to do is show up and enjoy some quality time with yourself!
4) Less equals more.
Self Care doesn’t need to take up big chunks of your time.
If all you can manage to squeeze in are a few 10 or 15 minute blocks each day then that is perfect!
Much better to do something EVERY day then only take time out a few times a month or when you are on the verge of an exhaustion breakdown.
The magic of Self Care comes to you by doing something every day.
5) Create firm boundaries.
As you start on this journey there may be times when you have to say no to others in order to respect your need for down time.
When you experience resistance, whether your own or another’s, remember that all are better off when you are the best possible version of yourself – and you will be with regular Self Care!
